OUR FLEET IN THE ADRIATIC EXPANDS

We are delighted to announce that after the port of Cesenatico, we have activated two more ports in the Adriatic Sea to further our Fishing for Litter mission.

Fishermen from Goro and Porto Garibaldi are thus joining our fleet for plastic recovery from the sea, to collectively contribute to safeguarding local ecosystems.

Goro, a town in the province of Ferrara, is active with 2 fishing boats, while Porto Garibaldi, also on the Ferrara coast, collaborates with 2 fishing boats.

The last few months of Fishing for Litter have been very important for our activity. Our fishing boats have recovered an average of 60 kilos of waste per month, totaling about 400 kilos since the beginning of our operations.

Continuing to collaborate with fishermen to clean plastics from the seas is our goal, and in addition to taking care of the Mediterranean, our dream is to expand globally to support fishermen from all over the world. We hope to update you soon with good news on this!

Through Fishing for Litter, we cover the costs of waste recovery and disposal, allowing fishermen to carry out their normal fishing activities and receive extra compensation for recovering plastics from the sea.

At Ogyre, we fund ourselves through the sale of swimwear, which is why every time you purchase Oshorts or Okinis, you help support our fishermen and assist them in recovering plastics from our seas.
