OGYRE comes from Ocean Gyre, a circular ocean current that is fundamental to the ecosystem. Unfortunately, today it is known for trapping plastic for decades or even millennia in huge islands of waste.

For us, Ogyre symbolizes how current consumption and production models have affected natural balances, transforming a current vital for ocean health into a not-so-virtuous cycle.
Our mission starts right here: to change the state of things, rethink our impact on the seas, both at a business level and a consumption level, and create virtuous cycles between humans and the environment.
We are the first Italian fishing-for-litter platform: thanks to a community of fishermen, we recover marine waste and transform it into quality products, without introducing new plastic into circulation, but by recovering plastic that has already been produced and never properly disposed of.
In short, we give people the opportunity to directly and transparently solve the problem of plastic in the seas through their purchases.
